Some bathroom design ideas
If you have the luxury of being able to design
your bathroom instead of just making do with the one you are stuck with,
you are lucky because bathroom design ideas can be creative, fun, and have
long lasting rewards.
One way to approach bathroom design ideas is to forget that you are
designing a bathroom and just design and map out the room as you might a
garden, a suite or dressing area, or a living space. Then you just
incorporate your plumbing into the design, and you will have an amazing
and original space.
Here are some examples to give you an idea of what we mean by this kind of
bathroom design ideas: Design a bathroom that is large, and put a
fireplace, either wood burning or gas, on one wall. Consider rasing the
fireplace to waist level, like the old fashioned bread backing ovens, so
you have it at an interesting and somewhat less hazardous level. Then on
another wall, put built in shelves, and stock them will all your
necessities. One the other wall you can put a shower and surround it with
plants, and then make a walk in closet for the toilet and put a sink in
the dead center of the room, if you are able to run a water line across
the room.
Another of these funky bathroom design ideas is to put a shower in the
middle of the room and make the walls of glass or glass bricks, so that it
becomes like a fountain in the middle of the room. Surround it with
tropical plants and you will have a bathroom that resembles an indoor
garden.
Whenever you think of bathroom design ideas, keep in mind that the closer
together you keep the plumbing, the cheaper, because it will all have to
be routed. And you will also want to incorporate as many safety features
as possible when you have an electric outlet or other source of electrical
power, since you can have problems when water and electricity mix.
