Bathroom fans

One of the best kinds of ventilation you can provide to allow your house to breathe is a simple and inexpensive type of fan, and there are many bathroom fans available for this purpose.

The need for bathroom fans is especially important because the air in the bathroom is prone to mildew and once that happens, you can have offensive odors and unpleasant grime on the tiles and other surfaces of the room. And not only does it offend the senses, but it can rot the building materials in your bathroom, create spaces for water to eat away at caulking, and eventually the simple steam clouds from your shower can be the cause of extreme problems that require you to tear out the walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures and then chase rotten beams and studs all through the house.

But the remedy is simple, if you just install bathroom fans in each of your bathrooms and use them on a regular basis. Some are even made so that they come on when you enter the room and they switch off when you turn off the lights, so they are efficient and are good at automatically doing their job. If you don't have a bathroom fan, try to at least have an open window in your bathroom to help rid the room of stale and humid air, and meanwhile, go to a local home improvement center and investigate your options for getting a fan installed.
