Buying bathroom rugs
Having bathroom rugs in the bathroom is a
great idea, not only because they help to keep our feet warm on cold
bathroom tile floors, but because they also help to keep the floors from
getting wet, so that we don't find ourselves walking on hazardous surfaces
in the bathroom.
But the kind of rugs we use in other parts of the house may not be
appropriate for using as bathroom rugs, and for that reason there is a
whole market of special rugs and bath mats made especially for the
bathroom. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors, and they
are usually made with a special backing material that keeps them from
sliding on the floor.
Many bathroom rugs are sold at discount stores or in the discount
department of large department stores, and you can find many great deals
or perfectly good rugs that have been marked down but are otherwise just
like the full price rugs. There are also outlet stores that sell nothing
but discounted bath linens, shower curtains, and bathroom accessories
including rugs and mats, and these are great places to shop within a
budget for good rugs for your bathroom.
Online retail and wholesale stores offer a wide variety of bathroom rugs,
and they come in all sorts of materials, from silk to cotton to synthetic
to jute and other organic materials. And often times, the companies that
market these items on the internet do not have high overheads, because
they do not have high rents to pay and they don't have to open their door
to the public everyday, but instead they work like mail order companies,
and just deal with customers who shop over the computer and place orders
when they are ready to buy, at which time the online seller will simply
ship the item out with minimal effort and labor involved - for example,
the online retailer does not have to spend time showing you samples,
because if you shop online, you do your own looking through online
catalogs.
After you get the bathroom rugs that suit your style, taste, and price
range, be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions about how to wash
and take care of them, because that way you can launder them frequently
without worry of damaging the rug or the non skid surface backing and
binding.
