If you are remodeling, building, or just sprucing up your bathroom or bathrooms, you may want a source for discount bathroom vanities, to save some time and money in your project plans. One good source for these is those big home improvement type stores, or building centers, such as Home Depot or Lowes or other places that sell items under one roof including plants and gardening supplies, lighting fixtures, furniture and storage systems, electrical supplies, carpentry supplies, tools, and lumber; books with plans and designs in them and how-to-books about doing remodeling and deck making and other projects around the home, and plumbing supplies. Usually in the plumbing department of these stores, they sell a number of different types of vanities, in various price ranges, and they may also have a few that are scratched or dented and they may offer those for very little money as discount items that have been priced at or below cost, in over to move them out of the store in a hurry at a price that will ensure a quick sale. You can ask the sales people if they have any such items that may have small defects or may be returned items, to find out if they have these that might work for you.

When shopping around for discount bathroom vanities, be careful to check the item over with a fine toothed comb in order to find out if there are any inherent defects or weaknesses in the construction of the product. One thing to study is the joints, where the various walls of the cabinet meet. If these are not tight, it may be a sign of poor craftsmanship. Look to see if they are screwed together, glued together, or stapled together, and see if the joints are clean and snug. Also look to see if the screws or other fasteners are in tight or if they are possibly too small for the holes and are working their way out of the hole. They may need to be secured with an adhesive or glue or putty made for that purpose.

Also check all discount bathroom vanities to see if they have fake or real drawers and cabinets, because from a distance what looks like storage space may be nothing but a fake decorative front made to imitate the look of a real drawer or door.

One you have sorted out exactly what you are getting, all you have to do is compare the prices and styles of your discount bathroom vanities, and get one that is suitable for functioning well with whatever sink you decide to buy.
