One of the easiest and cheapest ways to add a shower is by using fiberglass stall showers. These are lightweight, can often be moved into place by one or two people, are inexpensive, and they will last virtually forever, because fiberglass does not rust or break down like many other materials do. The fibers can sometimes crack, or at least the surface which is smooth and shiny can crack, exposing the inside fibers, which are rough and resemble the twigs and leaves in a bird nest, and this can lead to problems. But the chance of this happening with normal use is minimal.

The various colors and styles of fiberglass stall showers available now is incredible. They come in many different colors and some are very large. There are some made for corners, others made for walls, and others made with tubs or even hot tubs in them. There are those with built in walls, seats, and places for storage like shelves, and so the options available to you when choosing a style of tub or shower or combo tub and shower kit are wide open, in many pleasant colors.

To make sure that the hardware like the pipes for plumbing, the faucets, and the showerhead works properly with your fiberglass stall showers, be sure to check the location of the holes in the fiberglass, and make sure you have the right amount of openings in the right spots. It is also possible now to find delux models, that have room for two or more showers, so that you can include hardware for two shower heads in one stall.
