Jacuzzi history
Back in the 60s, a creative fellow named Roy Jacuzzi, an Italian who came over from Italy to the USA with his brothers back around the turn of the 20th century, first came up with the invention of the hot tub known now the world over as the jacuzzi. The tub was similar whirlpool bath and the design had several water jets built into the sides of the tub. Most sources give Mr. Jacuzzi the credit for inventing the original whirlpool bath, and then later on, at the big fairground in Orange County CA, they first showed it to the public. It is appropriate that they started in CA, which is probably the most densely hot-tub-populated place in the world, per capita, thanks to all the Hollywood types who like to hang out in the tubs in their spare hours. The people who now control the offshoot of the original company that invented Jacuzzi tubs owns about 300 different patents for jets, pumps, and other parts of hot tubs. There were about 8 Jacuzzi brothers and they were great inventors, working with farm equipment, airplanes, and hydrolics. They invented the first mail carrying monoplane, put into service for the U.S. Postal Service. The mobility and small size of the pumps used in the hot tubs they made is what helped to make them an accessory in so many homes around the world. Because they are small, effecient, and powerful, they are perfect for hot tubs on a deck or in a bathroom. The jacuzzi really took off and became a hot item in the 70s, thanks to Roy's enthusiastic and constant marketing of the items at fairs around the USA every year. Eventually they became used world wide, and the invention that the Italian named Roy brought to the public of California earned his family millions and millions of dollars. Related Articles
