The shower caddy
The invention of the shower caddy was a long
time coming but not a minute too late, because before then, millions of
people had difficulty trying to figure out where to store their stuff in
the showers of the world, and many of them suffered all sorts of
aggravation as a result of this dilemma of theirs. People would clutter up
the sides of the tub, if there was room to hold soap and bottles, or if
there was a lip on top of the wall of the shower, they would use it to
keep everything. And things were always falling, and sometimes if they
were in glass bottles, they would break and create all sorts of havoc for
the person trying to take a shower and rush off to work, school, or that
date they don't want to keep waiting too long.
Then along came the clever but simple idea for a type of shelf that could
hang in the shower, and thus the invention of the shower caddy came to be
a household, everyday item for millions of people all over the world. The
caddy sometimes hangs over the pipe that the shower head is attached to,
and other times they hang over the walls of the shower. But they all are
similar, in that they work by hanging up and they have storage space
designed into them, in the form of shelves or pockets or pouches.
The shower caddy designs are made to support things like brushes, bottles,
and bars of soap or razors, and are all made of waterproof materials. Many
also have anti bacterial agents in them to make them less prone to
harboring microbes that can grow in a humid atmosphere like the shower.
And there are those caddys that are made to be stored away or put into a
suitcase, and then opened for use later on, in a hotel or at a camping
spot. And there are also types of shower doors, modular units, and
curtains that have built in shelving space, so these can also function as
a shower caddy.
The shower caddy comes in plastic, pvc, rubber, chrome, and stainless
steel, among other materials, and they are in a variety of price ranges to
fit your budget.
