Types of shower curtains
There used to be few types of shower curtains,
and most were boring, unattractive, and made only to fit one size and one
type of a shower. But now there are many styles and types of curtains, and
they come in a variety of graphics, colors, textures, materials, and price
ranges, to fit almost any budget, decor scheme, and size and shape of
shower or tub shower combo.
If you are looking for shower curtains, a good place to start your search
is in your own local stores. The ones that specialize in bed and bath
products are the best, and you may also have discount stores that sell
this kind of thing, at a deep bargain from the normal retail prices of
bath accessories. And any place that sells lots of domestics, like big
department stores or even large home improvement stores will probably sell
a pretty representative and wide variety of this kind of thing, for all
sorts of showers. They should also sell the rods and hooks or hangers that
you need, either with the curtains or as separate items for you to buy at
the same time you choose your curtains.
Once you have a shower curtains retail shop picked out, then you need to
measure the space where you plan to use the curtain, so that you can pick
out the right size. Most of them are standard sizes, but if you have an
extra large opening, you may need two or even three curtains. Most people
need only one, but sometimes they need to measure it after buying it, and
then cut off some extra length at the bottom of the curtain, to make it
fall properly inside the tub or shower area itself. And the rods nee4d to
be the right length. If the rod is too long, it may not work for you, and
if it is too short, you will not be able to install it using standard
brackets.
Also, you may need special supplies to hang shower curtains over a round
area, and there are usually oval or curved hanging rods sold at any large
retail store that carries a good selection of curtains.
