The shower tub

Some of us have a bath tub, others of us have a simple shower. But probably most people have combinations of both together, in what is called a shower tub. This is basically a normal bath tub, with an enclosed area around the sides of it and a shower up above, so that a person can stand up in the bath tub part and take a conventional shower, or a person taking a shower can fill the bottom of the bath area and then lay down and take a regular bath in a tub.

The shower tub designs sold today are more sophisticated and sleek than those older ones from the recent past, and most of the ones today are also cheaper, because the way they are made has become much less costly as the volume of those made and sold has increased, allowing for streamlined production facilities, which sometimes even make the whole item by using a combination of computerized robots and conveyor belts, with very little human input except for basic running of the machinery and some basic supervision.

If you are going to buy a shower tub, it is a good idea to also hire a qualified, certified, and licensed plumber to install it for you, to ensure that it is done in a way that not only looks good and works well, but is also up to your local building code standards. That way, if you decide to sell your home later on, you will have no worries about the quality of the work being able to pass muster when it comes time to have your home inspected by both the local housing authorities and the inspectors hired by the new buyer of your home.
