The Shower
The shower for some of
us is a daily wake up ritual, and for others it is rare or never, because
many people are only accustomed to taking a bath. And then there are those
who do both, which constitutes most of us in the world of bathers. Most
folks take a shower for convenience and a bath for the luxury and comfort
of a good soak in the suds.
If you don't have a shower, but you like to take them, and you only have a
bath tub, then there are many solutions now available, for those on every
kind of budget. The cheapest way to create a shower in a tub is by using a
plastic bucket or empty milk jug, to pour water over your head, the way
many people do when they are on camping trips. Another cheap way is to
attach a piece of garden hose to the faucet and clamp it on tight enough
so that it does not leak, and then hold one end up in the air as a shower
source. But the best way is to buy one of the shower connnectors sold in
every home improvement supply store, hardware store, or bed and bath
accessories store. These come in a variety of styles and designs and price
ranges, and they are made to attach to the faucet of the tub and convert
it into a shower.
These temporary or makeshift style shower arrangements can be bought in
designs that you install for permanent use, as a conversion kit for your
tub, or they can be bought in syles that allow you to still use the bath
tub, without having to keep installing and uninstalling the shower head
device all the time.
Also for those who shower, because it can be a hassle to constantly bend
down to the tub level to find a bar of soap of a bottle of shampoo, there
are nifty containers or storage units, that hang up high on the shower,
for you to reach while standing up and showering. These so called shower
caddy storage designs come in a variety of waterproof materials, and some
are even made to hang up and dry out, and then later roll up and pack into
your suitcase for travel.
