The whirlpool bath tubs that used to be used primarily in health care centers like hospitals or places where physical therapy was administered to patients are now basically a facet of everyday life, and although the term whirlpool is not generally used to describe them, the technology and the basic experience is the same, thanks to the invention of the Italian gentleman for whom these are named Jacuzzi tubs. The Jacuzzi tub is known all over the world, can be found in not only hospitals, spas, gyms, and health care centers, but also in hotels, condos, private homes, and even - in one strange case that was publicized a few years ago in the USA press - there was a jacuzzi tub created inside a limosine that was paraded down the streets of NYC, with people inside it getting sudzy in the hot tub.

Hot tubs are built on the design and engineering that the inventor Jacuzzi created about 60 or 80 years ago. His first ones were whirlpool tubs, and then later he made the technology smaller and more portable and thus he invented the hot tubs that we all now know, that were copyrighted, patented, and named after the man himself, Mr. Jacuzzi, who imigrated to the USA with several of his brothers, all of whom were later successful inventors. Of course the invention of the whirlpool bath tubs is what made the whole family rich, and the relatives of the original inventor still enjoy riches from worldwide sales of these tubs.

If you bath in whirlpool bath tubs, be careful to follow any special instructions for safety, especially if you have any history of blood pressure ailments or are on any kind of medication. The heat of the water can cause dizziness and other problems, if you are not careful, and the use of jets in a tub also presents other potential health risks.
